A Grammy Award winning producer, bass trombonist extraordinaire and contractor to the jazz world’s most elite artists, Douglas’s exceptional 40 year career has included his long time association with the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra (Thad Jones/Mel Lewis), being a charter member of the Carnegie Hall Jazz Band, cutting his teeth early on with the Stan Kenton Orchestra and recording/performing with the likes of Joe Henderson, JJ Johnson, Ron Carter, Dizzy Gillespie, Christian McBride and Slide Hampton.
