Having just released his 6th CD as a solo artist (Waiting To Continue), Marshall sits down with MD to discuss the new recording, playing with the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra, his new appointment as lead trombonist of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, recording his own big band projects with the WDR band in Cologne, Germany, teaching at the Manhattan School of Music and navigating through the new normal of the music business.
